STAUNTON — Cat Nap Coffee Roasting will be the new coffee vendor at this year’s indoor farmers’ market.
The market, which operates on Saturdays, 9 a.m. until noon through March, is at Emmanuel Episcopal Church at 300 W. Frederick St. in Staunton.
Ryan Brosmer began Cat Nap Coffee Roasting this past summer based out of his home, eventually moving a commercial kitchen in the Art Hive at 835 Spring Hill Road in Staunton in November. Cat Nap will debut at the indoor farmers’ market Saturday with fresh-brewed coffee and bags of beans for sale.
New martial arts studio opens
STAUNTON — Brian Weaver is originally from Rockingham County, but spent several years in Washington teaching martial arts. He and his wife returned to Virginia, relocating to Staunton, in 2023.
He continued teaching through classes offered by the Staunton Park and Recreation Department. The classes continued to grow, offering an opportunity for Weaver to open his own studio. The new space just opened this month at 110 W. Hampton St. Suite 228 in Staunton.
Weaver offers classes for all ages and fitness levels. Most classes, he said, can be classified into one of two categories — kung fu, a faster, more rigorous type training with more of a combat focus; and tai chi and qigong, a more slow, relaxing, meditative form of martial arts.
There are both afternoon and evening classes available Monday through Thursday. Weaver also offers private lessons and seminars. More information is available at taichikungfutao.com.

Bojangles announces two limited-time products
Bojangles recently announced two limited-time products hitting menus this month, including the highly anticipated return of chicken rice bowls and a new iteration of its legendary biscuit-inspired cobbler with a Bo-berry cobbler.
The Staunton restaurant is located at 105 George Cochran Parkway.
The chicken rice bowls feature Bojangles dirty rice, slow-cooked cajun pintos, and a blend of shredded Monterey jack and cheddar cheeses. Guests can choose between the brand’s new Bo bites chicken tender pieces, grilled chicken breast or the boldly seasoned Bojangles supremes. The bowls are also served with Texas Pete hot sauce on the side.
This limited-time offering is $7.49 or, with a combo option, $10.49, which includes a drink and a made-from-scratch biscuit on the side.
“The chicken rice bowl was an instant hit last year, so we knew we had to bring this flavor-packed meal back again,” said Marshall Scarborough, vice president of menu and culinary innovation for Bojangles. “It’s the perfect comfort meal to warm you up on a cold day, and it’s a generous portion at a value price.”
Customers can also try Bojangles’ new Bo-berry cobbler — built on its signature made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuit, topped with a warm Bo-berry topping and drizzled with sweet icing.
“The only way to make a cobbler taste even better is to swap in Bojangles’ made-from-scratch biscuits and iconic Bo-berries,” said Scarborough. “The Bo-berry cobbler takes everything our fans love about the Bo-berry biscuit —flaky, buttery biscuit, sweet berries and icing—and elevates it into a tasty treat. It hits the spot any time of day when you’re craving something sweet. We can’t wait for everyone to try it.”
The Bo-berry cobbler will be available at participating locations for just $1.99 while supplies last.
Both the Chicken Rice Bowl and the Bo-Berry Cobbler are available for a limited time at participating Bojangles restaurants, or guests can conveniently order through the Bojangles app, Bojangles.com and popular food delivery services.
