The moment a TUI flight attendant shouted at customers who were allegedly being “racist” has been caught on camera.
The crew member hit out at travellers on a flight between London Gatwick and Lanzarote in December 2023 after they allegedly targeted a British-Iranian family also on the plane.
The attendant can be heard saying: “This is a family flight. Everybody zip it, lock it, put it in your pocket. If I hear one more remark from anybody, I will be ringing the pilots, and they will be getting the police. I have had enough.”
The targeted traveller, whose six-year-old niece was among the recipients of the “abusive” attack, videoed the incident and uploaded it to TikTok, reports the Express.
Social media user @Zaypip told MailOnline: “We normally talk in English but switched to Farsi for a minute.
“They started [calling] us ‘P***s’ and being very rude because we changed our language. They were swearing and telling us to go back to our country. They were threatening to beat me up, break my glasses.
“And they had been kicking and punching our seats. Everyone was sick and tired of it. We just wanted to sit in peace and enjoy our holiday.”
“Speak English. We’re not in Pakistan. English,” the angry passengers can be heard shouting in the clip.
The family were given a police escort to their hire care but reportedly saw the passengers again during a camel ride later in their trip – sparking fears that they would be targeted again.
TUI allowed them to board their return flight early in a bid to dodge further confrontation, but the TikTok user said she wasn’t satisfied with the airline’s handling of the situation.

She angrily slammed an apology for the “inconvenience caused” and an offer of 5% compensation of her £500 booking, describing the latter as the equivalent of just “a few coffees”.
