The much-awaited second part of the Nagasekhar directorial hit the screens a week later than planned. It was supposed to release on January 10 but was rescheduled to January 17 due to some legal issues. Nagasekhar has given importance to music, songs, cinematography, and love in the movie.
The locations in Karnataka and Switzerland where the movie was shot are a visual treat. However, the director has failed to keep the screenplay crisp and convincing.
The plot of the movie is very weak and even the main theme of how the hero falls in love with the heroine is unconvincing. (The woman, born into an elite family, meets the hero, who sells saris, on the way to a pageant. The hero presents the heroine a sari and asks her to wear it in the pageant. Heroine wears it and wins the first prize and falls in love with the hero).
A movie needs supporting characters but those characters should not become a burden for the audiences to cope with. It would have been a great relief for the audiences if the director had cut the runtime of the movie by 10 or 15 minutes by removing some comedy scenes that just have absurd dialogues.
The movie begins with Geetha (
The movie highlights the plight of silk weavers. Music by Sridhar Sambhram is melodious. Cinematographer Satya Hegde has done a commendable job behind the camera. As far as the performances of actors are concerned, Srinagar Kitty has acted well. He is convincing as a concerned lover. Rachita Ram looks good. Sampath Raj, Chetan Chandra and Ragini Dwivedi provide good support. It is worth a watch for those who crave romantic films.
