Serving up some of the best “comfort food and beverage” since 1960, Tony’s Ranch House Restaurant & Lounge in Godfrey is being recognized as the January 2025 RiverBend Growth Association Small Business of the Month award recipient.
Located at 3330 Godfrey Road, Tony’s Ranch House has been offering a menu full of popular food items, along with a variety of beverages for nearly 65 years now. The locals often call it “the Ranch,” and keep coming back because of its continued offerings of good food and drink at reasonable prices. There’s also a real sense of community established at the Ranch, and patrons enjoy both the dining and bar atmospheres throughout the week as they have for well over six decades.
The restaurant menu features daily specials as well as “Greek Night” on the last Wednesday of each month, except during the last three months of the year. They have quarter-pound cheeseburgers on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $2.50 as one of their regular specials.
Third-generation owner John Vambaketes notes, “We’re serving great food at great prices, and we love serving the great people of this community.” Open seven days a week, starting at 11 a.m., the restaurant serves a wide variety of popular lunch and dinner items. The bar is open Mondays through Thursdays until 2 a.m., Fridays and Saturdays until 3 a.m. On Sundays, they close at 8 p.m.
Vambaketes shares that there are 15 employees currently and that they all undergo food safe-handling classes on a continued basis as needed to keep up with the industry’s standards and guidelines.
Tony’s Ranch House supports a variety of charitable events and community services each year. “In September, we donated food and services to the Mustache March organization for the 13 police departments it supports,” says Vambaketes as just one example of their annual community service.
