Some important figures in the tech world will attend Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday, and according to Elon Musk, they will have the best seats in the House.
Figures like Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk will attend the historic event instead of major political figures who have bowed out. This week, Michelle Obama and Nancy Pelosi both announced their absence from the event. Many other political figures who have had a rocky history with Trump have yet to announce their plans, including Mike Pence, who had a clumsy encounter with the President-elect last week for the first time since 2021.
The leaders of the tech world are expected to be front and center at the ceremony, which will be held inside the United States Capitol Rotunda due to frigid winter temperatures. The Rotunda holds approximately 700 people, and seats will be reserved for members of Congress, and the most elite and important supporters of Trump.
The CEOs of the top tech companies in the world have collectively donated millions to Trump’s Presidential Inaugural Committee, according to CBS. Jeff Bezos, the founder and executive chairman of Amazon, has reportedly donated $1 million to the fund. He will be seated near Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, whose company also contributed $1 million.
TikTok CEO Shou Chew, whose name has been circulating on the internet in recent days, will also be in attendance. The Singaporean businessman uploaded a statement to the short-form content app yesterday after the US Supreme Court announced it would uphold the TikTok ban.
Chew said: “I want to thank President Trump for his commitment to work with us to find a solution that keeps TikTok available in the United States. This is a strong stand for the First Amendment and against arbitrary censorship.”
According to Bloomberg, Google’s Sundar Pichai, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, OpenAI’s Sam Altman, and Apple’s Tim Cook are also scheduled to appear.

Space X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who became Trump’s right-hand man toward the end of his campaign, will, of course, be in attendance too. Musk said on his social media platform, X, this week that he felt “honored” to sit alongside Bezos and Zuckerberg on the inauguration dais – a central podium where Cabinet members, nominees, and elected officials are typically placed.
