PARK CITY, Utah — The Green Business Program launched a new website Tuesday, Jan.14, to help Summit County businesses track and improve their environmental impact.
The Green Business Program unveiled the platform at Recycle Utah’s Green Drinks event. The program began at Recycle Utah eight years ago and has expanded through partnerships with Park City Municipal, Summit County, Park City Community Foundation, and the Park City Chamber of Commerce.
The website offers resources for businesses at various stages of sustainability implementation. Companies earn bronze, silver, or gold status by accumulating points through more than 150 actions across energy, water, materials and waste, transportation, and community and equity categories.
The program has also introduced quarterly Lunch and Learn sessions. The next event, focusing on workforce wellbeing, is scheduled for Feb. 12 and is free for Summit County businesses and employees.
