Prime Minister Edi Rama announced from Korça that the southeastern city will host the construction of Albania’s first ski tourism center.
Through a video shared on his social media pages, Rama stated that this initiative will “ignite a new engine in the economy of the entire region.”
“About half a million visitors and tourists spend at least one night in the Little Paris each year. A decade ago, it barely surpassed 50,000 annually, with hardly any foreign visitors, while guesthouses were few and barely sustainable. But now the time has come for the first ski tourism center in Albania, a project that will place Korça on the European map of ski tourism and spark a new engine in the economy of this entire region,” said Rama.
