Team Eco-EduTech from Daharki, Sindh, has triumphed in the eighth cycle of the Enterprise Challenge Pakistan, an annual inter-school business competition organised by the British High Commission in Islamabad.
The winning team presented an inspiring business idea focused on transforming waste materials into educational tools for children with disabilities.
The event, held on January 18 and hosted by British High Commissioner Jane Marriott CMB OBE, featured a collaboration with King’s Trust International and SEED Ventures. The innovative approach highlights the power of inclusion and creativity in addressing real-world challenges.
Enterprise Challenge Pakistan is the largest national competition for entrepreneurship for students under the age of 18.
Prizes were handed out celebrating innovation, climate friendliness, financial viability and impact.
Meanwhile addressing the annual inter-school business competition, the British High Commissioner in Pakistan, Jane Marriott said meeting the extraordinary young finalists and hearing their innovative business ideas, and how they are helping their communities left her energised and hopeful going into 2025.
“They are a true credit to Pakistan. I have no doubt our paths will cross again as they go onto even bigger innovations.”
The envoy said this was her second time hosting these finals and it was one of the most inspiring events she was lucky enough to join.
