Abhishek Kapoor’s recent directorial Azaad aimed at launching fresh faces, Aaman Devgan, nephew of Ajay Devgn and Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon to the movies. Set against the backdrop of British Raj, this humane story aims at winning hearts of the audience. Meanwhile, Gattu aka Abhishek Kapoor has penned an emotional note on social media revealing how he never was commercially motivated for this film, but it was his feelings towards the story and concept that made him believe in it.

Sharing photos with the leads – Rasha Thadani, Aaman Devgan, and the rest of the team, Abhishek Kapoor captioned the same with a note about his emotions attached to the film, as he said, “Sapne hit ya flop nahi hote , saakaar hote hain (Dreams can’t be hit or flop, they just can come true). The story of Azaad is one I truly believed in and it is a dream accomplished to have brought it to life. I would like to wish my young talents Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan the very best on their journey ahead. They have delivered beyond expectations and the world is their oyster. I want to thank every single cast & crew member who worked tirelessly on every detail devoted to the grand vision.”
He further expressed gratitude towards his wife Pragya Kapoor and producer Ronnie Screwvala. “And to my rock, my wife, @pragyakapoor_ You’ve been my guiding light and my safe haven throughout this journey. Your patience, and encouragement have kept me going, even on the toughest days. I’m so grateful to have you as my partner in every sense,” he shared and continued, “and Above all I want to thank @ronnie.screwvala who backed this vision and gave it everything it needed.
