Although they usually make parts for local manufacturing businesses, a group of Bradford Area High School students focused their talents on making the holidays a little better for some of Bradford’s residents this year.
This was the second year that Parkway Industrial, their student-run business, has created and sold Christmas ornaments to benefit the ELF Fund. Before production began this year, students voted to donate 100 percent of the ornament sales’ funds raised, not just the profits, to the ELF Fund.
Students designed the ornaments and they were sold in several downtown Bradford businesses throughout the Christmas season.
Between the ornament sales and matching donations from one of their retail merchants, the students were able to make a $1,000 donation to the ELF Fund this year.
