Queensland’s Griffith Business School has become the latest Australian Master of Business Administration (MBA) provider to secure EQUIS accreditation by EFMD Global.
EQUIS is a comprehensive quality review system for business and management schools. Its rigorous peer-review process signals the school’s overall quality, viability and self-improvement commitment to students, employers and academic partners worldwide. The internationally acknowledged label is often a prerequisite for entry to rankings.
Monash Business School and UQ Business School have also received re-accreditation as part of the latest round of announcements.

“We are confident that this recognition will further strengthen their contributions to students, alumni, and society,” he said.
Griffith University, a public institution founded in 1975, is a leading Australian university recognised for its commitment to social justice and engagement with the Asia-Pacific region.
With a vibrant community of over 45,000 students across five campuses in South East Queensland and a global alumni network of more than 200,000 graduates, Griffith has long been a pioneer in areas such as modern Asian studies, environmental science, and First Peoples’ education. EQUIS accreditation reflected Griffith’s dedication to environmental sustainability, social justice, and fostering an inclusive student body that embraces First Peoples and first-generation students. This milestone underscores Griffith University’s leadership in socially and environmentally responsible education.
Griffith Business School Pro-Vice Chancellor Caitlin Byrne said the school was honoured to receive EQUIS accreditation which benchmarks the school’s performance against the highest international standards.
“This accreditation not only affirms the quality and relevance of our educational programs and research but also underscores our steadfast commitment to social justice and sustainability,” she said.
“It is an achievement that reinforces our mission to cultivate the next generation of ethical business leaders and policymakers who are equipped to drive positive societal change. Being part of the EQUIS community enables us to exchange knowledge and best practices with the world’s leading business schools, thereby enhancing our mission.”
