Mohanlal’s Thudarum was supposed to wind up the Malayalam releases for January 2025, but looks like we have a new entry for the month. Vineeth Sreenivasan-starrer Oru Jaathi Jathakam has booked the slot for the last day of the month, adding to the interesting list of January releases that includes Asif Ali’s hit film Rekhachithram. Oru Jaathi Jathakam release date
Oru Jaathi Jathakam, which stars Vineeth Sreenivasan and Nikhila Vimal in the lead roles, is reportedly set to release in theatres on January 31, 2025.
The film, directed by M Mohanan, was earlier slated to release on August 2024, but got postponed. The makers have now announced the new release date for January 2025.
Vineeth Sreenivasan had previously collaborated with M Mohanan for the 2018 film Aravindante Athidhikal, which also featured Nikhila Vimal.

Apart from Vineeth Sreenivasan and Nikhila Vimal, the film features Babu Antony, Isha Talwar, Mridul Nair, Kayadu Lohar, singer Sayanora Philip, and Vidhu Prathap in key roles. PP Kunhikrishnan, Amal Thaha, Indu Thampi, Rejitha Madhu, Chippy Devassy, Pooja Mohanraj, Varsha Ramesh, Haritha Parokkod, Aishwarya Midhun Koroth, Shaun Romy, Nirmal Palazhi, and Vijayakrishnan are also part of the cast.
The makers had earlier released a teaser and colourful posters of the film, which promises a fun-filled entertainer.
The film has a script and dialogues by Rakesh Mantodi, who had earlier penned Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph’s Godha, which also featured Baby John star Wamiqa Gabbi. Viswajith Odukathil is the cinematographer for Oru Jaathi Jathakam with Ranjan Abraham as the editor, while Guna Balasubramanian has composed the music.
