He is widely expected to undo many of the policies put in place by previous President Joe Biden. While Trump has many loyal fans in the United States, public opinion is far less positive overall in Scotland.
While Scots are his biggest supporters in Western Europe according to a recent YouGov poll, only 21 per cent of people in the country wanted the Republican to win the 2024 election.
Over the years, there have been many events held in Scotland protesting Donald Trump. Even before he was elected President for the first time in 2016, Scots have publicly called out the American.
