The Arkansas Cinema Society (ACS) is kicking off its 2025 programming with an exciting weekend celebrating Arkansas-made films and storytelling.
On Jan. 24 and 25, ACS is hosting a special two-day event at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, showcasing a range of short films and a feature from the 2024 Filmland: Arkansas program. The event will highlight the incredible talent emerging from the Natural State, with screenings of student and professional films, along with an insightful screenwriting workshop hosted by Arkansas native Coburn Goss.
The Filmland: Arkansas Showcase will feature two separate film blocks on Friday. The movie delves into family dynamics, past romances and the emotional toll of long-hidden secrets. Following the film, Goss will lead a screenwriting workshop in the Lecture Hall, sharing insights into his craft and career and offering advice for aspiring writers.
