BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – Tourism numbers have risen steadily in North Dakota since the pandemic years as travelers seek more open space and fewer crowds.
The state tourism department is continuing to capitalize on the rise in visitors through a refreshed campaign titled “Hello N.D.,” which uses unscripted interactions and beautiful imagery from 15 locations across the state.
“People are looking to explore new, authentic locations that aren’t so crowded. Nobody wants to spend their vacation looking for a parking spot, or, you know, being back-to-back-to-back with cars going through, whether it’s a national park or a city,” said the Director of North Dakota Tourism & Marketing Sara Otte Coleman.
The state also unveiled a new travel guide and a new hunting and fishing guide that will be distributed through traveler requests and to common visitor areas across the state.
