Pitney Bowes has expanded its Presort Services network by acquiring the presort business of Royal Alliances, a Texas-based mailing and shipping company. The deal, which closed on January 20, adds more than 100 million First-Class Mail pieces annually to Pitney Bowes’ operations, strengthening its presence in the East, Central, and West regions.
“The acquisition of Royal Alliances’ presort business is another strategic step forward for Pitney Bowes,” said Debbie Pfeiffer, Executive Vice President and President of Pitney Bowes Presort Services. “We are excited to welcome Royal Alliances’ valued clients to Pitney Bowes and look forward to the opportunities ahead.”
The acquisition allows Pitney Bowes to process the additional volume through its existing network of more than 30 operating centers across the U.S., including facilities in Detroit, Salt Lake City, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Dallas. Together, these centers handle over 15 billion pieces of mail annually.
“This acquisition is the culmination of over a decade of innovation and growth from the Royal Alliances team, and I’m excited for the opportunities that this transaction will provide to our customers,” added Aaron McDaniel, CEO of Royal Alliances. The company will continue to run its freight brokerage business as Direct Logistics.
Pitney Bowes is USPS‘s largest workshare partner, helping businesses save on postage and simplify mailing operations. This acquisition further solidifies the company’s role as a leader in mail processing and innovation.
