Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasized the importance of tourism as Albania’s key development driver during the World Economic Forum in Davos. Speaking at the session “The Way We Will Travel,” he highlighted the rapid growth of the sector and ongoing investments, including mountain tourism, major development projects, and a new tourist port led by a prominent Middle Eastern company.
“Tourism is our priority, a sector we are building with remarkable success. It’s our ‘battleground horse,’ and we must preserve and enhance its potential while maintaining balance and natural beauty,” said Rama.
He noted Albania’s collaboration with world-renowned architects to ensure high-quality, innovative projects that distinguish the country regionally.
The forum, themed “Cooperation in the Age of Intelligence,” brought together over 3,000 leaders, including 60 heads of state, to address global and regional challenges and explore sustainable development strategies.
