With Rs 300, Yash joined the Benaka Drama Troupe and started working as a backstage hand. The KGF star would do odd jobs, like serving tea to people there. The actor would earn Rs 50 per day with the same. He did all of this while also focusing on training as an actor. Well, his hard work paid off when he got his first acting role in a TV show called Nanda Gokula. He also met his wife Radhika Pandit at the same time. In 2007, Yash’s filmy journey began with the movie Jambada, in which he played a supporting character. In 2008, with the film Rocky, he tasted success and has never looked back.
Some of Yash’s successful movies include Kirataka, Moggina Manasu, Mrs. Ramachari, Masterpiece, and KGF. KGF significantly elevated his stardom, positioning him as one of the most lucrative and well-paid actors in the South African film industry. Both KGF and KGF 2 earned over Rs 1500 crore gross at the box office. The actor’s next is Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana for which he has reportedly charged Rs 200 crore. The movie also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.
