Meghan Markle has been hit with claims she is going to release a “post-divorce” book, but one source has slammed the speculation.
The Duchess of Sussex has been accused of holding secret talks with an unnamed publishing house to see if they would possibly be interested in the book. Meghan is currently married to Prince Harry, but a source claimed she wanted to “gauge interest.”
However, another source has now come forward to rubbish the claims as they insisted Harry and Meghan won’t be divorcing any time soon. They explained how the couple are “tied together” and their “value” to brands is in being together.
“Even if they wanted to split, they couldn’t. And honestly, they are obsessed with each other,” the source insisted.

Another source familiar with the couple’s original $20 million Penguin Random House deal told Page Six they had never heard about a possible divorce book. Instead, they insisted Harry and Meghan are “worth more together.”
“It doesn’t benefit them to be apart — they have all their deals together,” the source explained. “I think the Random House deal is much like the Netflix deal: Netflix just said ‘Yes’ to everything because they wanted to get the docu-series. So they said, ‘Ok, we’ll take the ‘Polo’ show’ and let’s see what happens with Meghan’s lifestyle show.”
Meghan and Harry shocked the world when they released their Netflix docuseries, titled Harry & Meghan. In the series, Meghan claimed she was “silenced” by the royal family, while Harry lashed out at family members including King Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
A recent report from Vanity Fair alleged Meghan’s divorce book was supposed to be about the aftermath of her potential split from Harry, as opposed to her first husband Trevor Engelson. Meghan and Trevor married in 2011 before finalizing their divorce in 2014.
A source told the publication Meghan’s book meeting did not imply she is actually divorcing Harry. Instead, they insisted it was simply to see if the publisher would “theoretically be interested.”
The publisher reportedly never made an offer. Harry has previously addressed rumors he is splitting from Meghan.
During an appearance at the DealBook Summit, journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin asked Harry about the ongoing speculation. “I Google Newsed you, and there were people fascinated by everything you’re doing, all the time. They’re fascinated by Meghan is in California right now, and you’re here,” he commented.
Andrew added, “Why are you making, doing independent events? Why aren’t you doing them together?” Harry hit back, “Because you invited me, you should have known,” and received a lot of laughs from the audience.
Harry continued, “Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what? It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it. The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls.”
