IVE continue extending their global reach with the release of the K-pop girl group’s newly announced concert film documentary IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR in CINEMA.
Scheduled for release on Wednesday, February 26, and Saturday, March 1, the theatrical event offers fans across the globe an immersive experience inside the Show What I Have world tour, the sextet’s first-ever global trek that reached audiences in 19 countries throughout 2024.
The 112-minute film is set at one of the group’s last tour stops at Seoul’s iconic KSPO Dome, bringing together the high-energy live performance that included a live band backing on many songs with candid interviews and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage for a special snapshot of the tour. Alongside a setlist packed with IVE’s chart-topping hits like “Eleven,” “Love Dive,” and “I Am,” fans will relive IVE’s live shows while getting a rare glimpse into the creative process and camaraderie behind the breakout group.
Top event cinema distributor Trafalgar Releasing partnered with Korea’s Lotte Entertainment to bring IVE’s film to audiences worldwide in markets including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and beyond.
“We are delighted to partner with Lotte Entertainment for the first time,” Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, said in a statement. “K-pop continues to captivate global audiences, and this film will provide fans with an unforgettable cinematic experience, allowing them to feel the electrifying energy of the concert and strengthen the existing bond with the band.”
Meanwhile, Hana Choi, the Head of International Business at Lotte Entertainment, added, “We are honored to distribute the first film of the rising K-pop band IVE in collaboration with Trafalgar Releasing. I am confident that many audiences will be captivated by IVE’s charm through this film, marking a significant step towards the band’s goal of expanding overseas.”
IVE debuted in 2021 with their single “Eleven,” which quickly turned them into one of K-pop’s brightest star groups, earning accolades like Best New Artist at Korean award shows as their sophomore single “Love Dive” concurrently was named Song of the Year at many ceremonies. The six-member group — consisting of An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo — has continued to dominate the Korean music charts, win multiple awards, and sell more than a million copies of their debut full-length album I’ve IVE followed by two million copies of their I’ve MINE EP. Beyond a world tour, the girl group has teamed up with artists like David Guetta and Saweetie on English-language singles that expand their international appeal and dip into new sounds.
IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR in CINEMA tickets go on sale starting January 30, 2025, at 8 a.m. KST (January 29 at 6 p.m. ET) ahead of showings in February. For tickets or more information about the film, fans can visit www.iveincinema.com.
