President Trump has had a busy Thursday.
Thursday afternoon, the official Rapid Response 47 X account broke the news that President Trump has signed an order cracking down on illegal “straw donor” political campaign funding schemes and foreign contributions, following an investigation into the matter by the Attorney General.

Here’s the really troubling part:
Further, there is evidence to suggest that foreign nationals are seeking to misuse online fundraising platforms to improperly influence American elections. A recent House of Representatives investigation revealed that a platform named ActBlue had in recent years detected at least 22 “significant fraud campaigns”, nearly half of which had a foreign nexus. During a 30-day window during the 2024 campaign, the platform detected 237 donations from foreign IP addresses using prepaid cards, indicating that this activity remains a pressing concern.
Ever notice how whenever Democrats accuse Republicans of something – like, say, colluding in election interference with an unfriendly nation whose name begins with “R” – they are already doing it themselves?

ActBlue probably will not survive this. The flight of its senior staff and legal department indicates potential felony indictments on the horizon. A lot of hostile eyeballs will be watching ActBlue’s donations very carefully using sophisticated data analysis tools. ActBlue’s brand will be associated with fraud and lawbreaking far beyond what we associate with the usual Democrat-run organization. I’m sure WinRed, the less effective Republican clone of ActBlue, will be found to have similar problems. All of this is sure to lead to increased monitoring of online fundraising by the FEC and the Department of Justice. And in November 2026, we’ll see just how many real people donate to Democrats.
“Woke” progressive firebrand Jasmine Crockett is also now under investigation for doing things Democrats accuse us of doing. My colleague Bonchie brought us that story earlier this month. And again, we see a familiar name:

That remains to be seen, but this announcement today from the White House sure makes it look like President Trump intends to set the hounds on the track.

I applaud President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for taking action to get to the bottom of it. Democrats own the American people an explanation, and they need to be held accountable for their efforts to corrupt our elections.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone hold their breaths waiting for that explanation from any Democrats.
