The movie and television production industry is growing across Illinois, and there are a couple of examples of that here in the Riverbend. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker made a stop in Granite City earlier this week and spoke about how there is more activity in Illinois that would have previously gone elsewhere.
Pritzker says the state has expanded its tax credit for any film or television company that wants to locate in Illinois, noting that the amount of revenue from the industry has doubled in the past couple of years and it continues to increase.

Locally, Jeff and Roger Lewis from Woodlake Entertainment plan to film “Herbert West’s Reanimator” in Alton starting in June. Progress continues to be made on the sale of the former Enviro Tech Business Park in Wood River, with plans to convert that property into movie studios.
