Ranveer Singh’s movie, Dhurandhar broke all the records and made more than Rs. 1000 crore, only at the domestic box office. The movie turned out to be a blockbuster. Now, Part 2, which is titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is all set to be released on March 19, 2026.
The movie will show ‘Hamza’s journey from Jaskirat Singh Rangi to a spy in Pakistan. In Part 1, he killed Rehman Dakait, and in Part 2, he will be seen tracing ‘Bade Sahab’ while showcasing his journey towards being an Indian spy. Ahead of Part 2’s trailer, there have been several rumours that are going on. Earlier, it was reported that the BMC wanted to block Aditya Dhar’s B26 permanently. Along with that, several issues were coming up with the movie, and the complaints were there that several shootings were crossing safety violations. Amid this, another report about the movie surfaced.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is shorter in duration, and it’s UA 16+?
According to the Central Board of Film Certification website, Dhurandhar 2 was certified on February 9, 2026. Apart from that, it was shown as UA 16+. While the rest of the details are yet to surface, the movie is already creating a peak of excitement among the fans. To add, the movie’s runtime will seemingly be short, as the same screenshot from the site showed it to be a 280-minute film. Dhurandhar Part 1 was a 3-hour 34-minute movie.
And Part 2 will be 280 minutes. Before the release, JioHotstar already brought the streaming rights of the movie, and it was revealed that a deal of Rs. 150 crore was made. While it was earlier speculated that Netflix had their hands on the streaming rights of both Part 1 and Part 2, which they did in exchange for Rs. 130 crore, new reports claimed that Part 2 was bought by JioHotstar with a budget of Rs. 150 crore.
What are the issues that Dhurandhar: Part 2 faced?
Dhurandhar Part 2, before its release, faced several issues. It was only a few days ago when BMC demanded permanent blacklisting of B26, Aditya Dhar’s production house. Rs. 1 lakh penalty was asked for as it was reported that the shooting took place on the roof of a building and there were safety violations as without any permission, two generator vans were used.

Apart from that, the team reportedly wanted to shoot on February 7-8 between Modi Street and Perin Nariman Street. Reportedly, they were asked not to use any crackers and flammable materials, but on February 13-14, the authorities were informed about the safety violations and five lit torches were discovered. With this, the makers promised that they would show the fire scenes through VFX. Even before that, another issue arose for Dhurandhar 2, as reports claimed the makers used an unauthorised drone during filming. Reportedly, it was a high-security area, and, with the drone used for filming, the location manager reportedly didn’t secure the necessary permission for the drone operation.
Dhurandhar: Part 2 will be released on March 19, 2026. And to mention, the movie’s teaser was released before, but it left people a bit disappointed as the teaser was actually the post-credit scene, which was shown in Dhurandhar Part 1 itself. Part 2 will trace ‘Hamza’s journey, and the other actors will refine their roles. There’s no confirmation whether Akshaye Khanna will be seen in the movie or not, but there has been a lot of excitement about the movie, and people cannot wait for the movie to hit the theatres.
