Actor Alia Bhatt shared an update on her much-awaited film Love & War. She revealed that the project is now nearing completion. The actor spoke about the film and her experience of reuniting with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She called the journey “magical” and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with him again.
The update came during her appearance at Milan Fashion Week, which she attended as a global ambassador for Gucci. Dressed in a striking black leather trench coat and oversized sunglasses from the luxury label, Alia turned heads at the prestigious event in Milan. In a video shared with Vogue Italia, she was seen getting ready for the show while reflecting on her time in the city and balancing her packed film schedule.
During the chat, Alia revealed that this was her second visit to Milan in six months and shared her fondness for the city’s people and cuisine. She then spoke about her upcoming project, saying, “I am working on a movie currently called Love & War. It is a film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. We are at the tail end of filming. It has been quite a magical experience. Working with Sanjay sir is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I am so grateful that I get to do it.”
The film marks her second collaboration with Bhansali after the critically acclaimed Gangubai Kathiawadi, which earned her the National Award for Best Actress.
Love & War also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, making it one of the most talked-about upcoming projects in Bollywood. However, the film’s release timeline has seen multiple changes. Originally announced for a Christmas 2025 release, it was later shifted to March 20, 2026.
Earlier this year, reports suggested the film may now arrive in 2027. Addressing the speculation during an Instagram Live session, Ranbir confirmed that the postponement rumours were true, though he refrained from sharing a revised release date.
