Cambodia recorded more than 70,000 international visitors travelling across the country during its three-day traditional New Year, according to a Ministry of Tourism report released yesterday.
The festivities, held from April 14 to 16, drew millions of domestic travellers to destinations nationwide. Minister of Tourism Huot Hak noted that the celebrations were marked by a “lively atmosphere” and a spirit of national unity.
The traditional New Year is the largest annual holiday in Cambodia. On the occasion, revellers took part in religious ceremonies, visited their families, and went to various tourist attractions for leisure. Xinhua
