JAMESTOWN — Six free presentations for the small business community and the public will be offered by the Jamestown Regional Entrepreneur Center in October.
The free online presentations are “From Stuck to Unstoppable,” “Social Media Marketing Training,” “Unlocking the Power of Generative AI for Marketing & Communications,” “Elevate Your Events: Fresh Ideas and Training for You or Your Event Planning Team,” “Getting to Know Your Small Business Development Centers” and “Q4 Annual Planning Class with Ciara
Stockeland.”
“From Stuck to Unstoppable” will be offered from noon to 2 p.m. on Oct. 1. Michelle Massman of Massman Companies Inc. will speak on cultivating unshakable confidence and resilience to thrive in a changing landscape.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, a presentation is from 10 to 10:30 a.m. by Stacie Johnson on “Social Media Marketing Training.” This presentation will dive into understanding your audience, unveiling your content strategy, engagement techniques, and decoding analytics and optimization.
Johnson, of Fargo, has worked with North Dakota businesses providing social media management over the past 3 1/2 years. She also provides tips, information and inspiration on her own social media channels and website (

“Unlocking the Power of Generative AI for Marketing & Communications” will be from 11 a.m. to noon on Oct. 15,
led by Amanda Groethe, owner, marketing and communications strategist, Fuller Creative. This webinar is designed to demystify AI, clarify what it can and can’t do, and provide actionable insights on how to integrate AI tools into your marketing and communication efforts responsibly. Whether attendees are new to AI or looking to sharpen their skills, this session will guide people through practical applications, prompt engineering, and best practices for using AI ethically.

“Elevate Your Events: Fresh Ideas and Training for You or Your Event Planning Team” will be offered from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Oct. 16. Deidre Hillman, owner of the 13th Hat, will speak on the latest strategies to ignite FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and drive attendance at your events, from open houses to conferences and company celebrations. Discover how to create immersive experiences that resonate with all attendees, ensuring inclusivity for your staff, board members, clients and partners. This session will also equip your team with the skills to develop strategic partnerships and harness collaboration, amplifying the impact of your events.
Prior to launching the 13th Hat, Hillman was a state director for the North Dakota Women’s Business Center and has worked in a variety of roles throughout her prior careers from human resources to safety compliance. “Getting to Know Your Small Business Development Center” will be offered from 2 to 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 by Paul Smith, Fargo and Southeast Center director. This virtual networking event will provide an opportunity to learn about the no-cost services provided by the North Dakota Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs), how SBDCs advise on funding
resources, marketing, business planning, and the benefits of working with SBDCs for guidance and training. This event is for entrepreneurs wanting to learn how SBDCs can help them to start, grow and succeed in small business ownership.

On Oct. 30, a “Q4 Annual Planning Class with Ciara Stockeland” will be from 1 to 2 p.m. This session is offered for small business owners wanting guidance on creating their budget and profit plan for 2025. Stockeland recently published her new book, “Profit Genius,” and will provide an opportunity to visit about this resource.
