BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – The Warren County Public Library hosted a day-long event called Back to Back Books: A Book Lovers Festival on Saturday.
Over 20 writers and bestselling authors made their way to Bowling Green to share their work and engage with the community.
For its first year, the library hosted the event downtown at the Capitol, with authors using the One Roof Event Space to set up tables for their creative works.
Bibliophiles who attended had the chance to speak with the authors about their books and gain insight into the writing process.
“It’s very important to us as the library,” said WCPL marketing manager, Meagan Miles. “It’s quality of life for our community to offer cultural enrichment events like this, and we’re happy to provide that.”
Back to Back Books is one of several events the library offers throughout the year. It replaces SOKY Bookfest, which ended in 2023.
“We used to be part of SOKY Bookfest, and unfortunately we could not continue doing that by ourselves after our sponsors could no longer participate,” Miles said. “But we knew that the community still needed a book festival, so we decided to throw one on a smaller scale.”
