The Her Business Circle held their Ladies Day Out event on Saturday, September 21 at 316 Distillery.
The event had a cowboy theme and attendees were encouraged to wear cowboy hats and boots as they came out to promote and support each other.
One of the event coordinators, Becky Beasley George, of Camden said, “Basically, it’s a ladies day out, for ladies to get out the house without the kids, without the husband, come have fellowship, have fun…For the ladies with businesses to promote their businesses. We’re here to life up everyone up and make everyone win.”
Ladies Day Out featured vendor booths of all types including soaps and candles, fragrances, baked goods, jewelry, financial planning and massage therapy.
Mischievous Soaps, owned by Abby Shearer, of Camden, was one of the local businesses in attendance selling their products.
Bobby Ray’s Fragrances, a business which has been in operation for 17 years in Camden, was the sole male owned business represented at the event.
Sassy C’s Jewels, owned by Cassandra Moore, of Camden and operating for 3 years had a booth selling jewelry. Moore said she chose jewelry for her business because, “It’s the one thing women never get enough of.”
Businesses from outside of Camden were also represented. One such business was PHP Agency, a financial service firm out of Little Rock.
PHP is operated by Julia Chears-Young and her husband. Chears-Young said they, “Teach how to save and grow money using life insurance,” and, “We can do business in 49 states and Puerto Rico.
Elowah Message Therapy, owned by Amber Madayag, of Camden, is located in El Dorado, but Madayag says she is willing to travel for clients and would like to move her business to Camden.
Madayag has been a licensed massage therapist since 2019 and said she, “Wants her community to know a massage isn’t just for a special occasion.” Madayag went on to say that massage therapy is like physical therapy, it is something which is used to heal the body.
In addition to the vendors and booths, there was line dancing outside on the patio, led by Reese Broadnax, of Camden, and fashion from Rainbow Connection being shown on a few of the event attendees.
The event was scheduled from 11a.m.-3p.m. and around 100 people came through.
