Rosamund Pike: Every Movie and TV Show in 2024 and 2025

1. Moominvalley Season 4 (2024)

The Emmy-nominated Gutsy Animations-produced animated series has been renewed for its fourth season. The series is based on the Moomin novels, short stories, and comics by Finnish writer/illustrator Tove Jansson and her brother Lars Jansson. All of the stories are set in an idyllic, peaceful natural world and woven around the Moomin family of trolls and explore a coming-of-age plot garnished with family and friendship. What has perhaps made the show sold to over 60 countries is Tove’s incorporation of values like kindness, acceptance, and love for nature.

Season 4 will have 13 episodes wherein each one will explore a different adventure that addresses the significance of sustainable living while a comet heads towards the Moomin Valley. Rosamund Pink plays Moominmamma, the mother of Moomin (protagonist of the series, played by Taron Egerton in Seasons 1 and 2 and Jack Rowan in Season 3) and will return for Season 4. Matt Berry will be back as Moominpappa as well. Nigel Davies (‘Shaun the Sheep’) who has directed multiple episodes in the previous seasons is back helming this Season too. Season 4 is expected to arrive in late 2024.

2. In the Grey (2025)

Written and directed by Guy Ritchie, ‘In the Grey’ stars Pike, Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Eiza González. The film follows two extraction specialists who assist a female negotiator in escaping trouble on an island. The trio will seemingly join forces to rob a wealthy crime boss named Salazar of billions of dollars. The cast also includes Emmett J Scanlan, Christian Ochoa Lavernia, and Fisher Stevens. The film is currently in the post-production stage and is scheduled for theatrical release on January 17, 2025.

3. Now You See Me 3 (2025)

Ruben Fleischer will be directing the third installment of the popular heist film franchise. Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco are expected to return as the Four Horsemen. Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, and Daniel Radcliffe will also return as Thaddeus Bradley, Dylan Rhodes, and Walter Mabry, respectively. Joining them are Pike, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Justice Smith. The plot is yet undisclosed, although it will reportedly offer a reimagined take. The film is undergoing production, and will be released on November 14, 2025.

4. Hallow Road (TBA)

Pike has added another psychological thriller to her name after ‘I Care A Lot’ and ‘Gone Girl.’ ‘Hallow Road,’ starring Pike and Matthew Rhys, follows a mother (Pike) and father (Rhys) in a race against time after they get a call from their daughter (played by Megan McDonnell) who has caused a tragic car accident late in the night. Paul Tylak plays the role of a police officer. The film has been directed by Babak Anvari and is based on a script by William Gillies. It is currently in its post-production phase, and further details about a release date are awaited.

5. The Wheel of Time Season 3 (TBA)

Amazon Prime Video has renewed this popular fantasy series based on the novel series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. The series follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), who is a member of Aes Sedai, a powerful magical all-female group, as she embarks on a globe-trotting journey accompanied by five men and women. One of these people is destined to be Dragon Reborn, one who will be the reason for humanity’s destruction or salvation.

Season 3 will deal with the events as told in the fourth book, “The Shadow Rising.” It will explore the Aiel culture wherein Rand al’Thor (the Dragon Reborn) was born before Tam adopted him and brought him to the village of Two Rivers. It will also throw light on the Forsaken, the dark magicians. Returning cast members include Rosamund Pike as Moiraine Damodred, Josha Stradowski as Rand al’Thor, Daniel Henney as al’Lan Mandragoran, Zoë Robins as Nynaeve al’Meara, Madeleine Madden as Egwene al’Vere, Marcus Rutherford as Perrin Aybara and Dònal Finn as Mat Cauthon. The filming has wrapped up, and Season 3 is set to drop in early 2025. Further updates are awaited.
