With Colorado being one of eight states allowing mail-in voting for all elections, every registered voter in the Centennial State will soon receive a ballot to vote in the upcoming general election.
Ballots will be mailed out to all registered voters in Pueblo County on Oct. 11. Those who register to vote after Oct. 11 may request a mail ballot until Oct. 28. Voters also may visit a polling center to fill out a ballot. Polling Centers and mail-in ballot drop boxes close on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m., according to the Pueblo County Election Office.
Overseas and military voters eligible through the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) will receive their mail-in ballots on Sept. 20. The final day for UOCAVA ballots to be received and the final day for voters to cure signature discrepancies is Nov. 13.
How to register to vote
Voter registration can be completed online at the Colorado secretary of state website by those with a valid Colorado driver’s license, ID card, or Social Security number. A paper voter registration form also may be printed from the Colorado secretary of state website.
Coloradans eligible to register include those who are United States citizens, have lived in the state for at least 22 days before the election, and are not incarcerated for a felony. Individuals 16 and older can register to vote but only those 18 and older can vote, according to the secretary of state.
