Bestselling author Rick Riordan is beloved by readers for his “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” and “Heroes of Olympus” books for kids and his “Tres Navarre” series for adults.
In a virtual event for Kepler’s, Riordan celebrates the latest book in the Percy Jackson series of adventures. “Wrath of the Triple Goddess,” in which Percy must petsit the goddess Hecate’s polecat Gale and mastiff Hecuba (over Halloween week, no less). Percy’s aiming to earn divine recommendation letters to get into New Rome University and hopes this favor will do the trick. The critter-sitting gig proves troublesome, though, when Percy’s pal Grover gets turned into a goat and havoc ensues.
Sept. 25, 7 p.m.; admission via zoom link; $28-$80 (includes a copy of the book, to be picked up at Keplers or shipped);.eventbrite.com.
