A town in Galway is set to welcome a brand new business to its high street, a local councillor has confirmed.
Galway County Councillor for Ballinasloe, Cllr Alan Harney shared the good news that a new owner will open in the town’s petrol station beside Dillon’s tyres in Brackernagh.
He posted a picture of the final refurbishment works taking place outside the business, confirmed that it will open to the public in the next few weeks and wished the new operators all the best.
Cllr Alan Harvey posted: “It is brilliant to see a new business opening in town over the next few weeks! The service station beside Dillon’s tyres in Brackernagh will be reopening in the next few weeks. Best of luck to the new operators.”

The Abbey Restaurant in Claregalway has undergone a major revamp as it prepares to reopen its doors in a new location.
Photos show the fruits of the owners’ labour as a slick new look is revealed to customers eager to see the restaurant’s doors back open.
The community was clearly delighted to see the restaurant back as one person commented: “Beautiful- Hope you have continued your excellent reputation for fine wine and dining!”
The Abbey Restaurant reopened their doors in Claregalway earlier this month and are determined to go from strength to strength, with owners hoping to get people’s ‘taste buds excited’.
The restaurant, located in Lakeview, recently announced their official new menu which includes chicken wings, pork belly and classic West of Ireland chowder.
