One Direction fans have been left devastated by the sudden death of former band member Liam Payne, who tragically fell from a hotel balcony in Argentina.
Following reports of the 31-year-old singer-songwriter’s passing, fans have paid tribute online by sharing clips of the star’s days in the boy band.
Payne sang alongside Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson in the world-famous band and many of the group’s moments were recorded in vlog-style videos. In 2013, the group released an official documentary-style film providing an all-access look behind the scenes of the band’s second tour, Take Me Home.

One Direction: This Is Us follows the off-stage and on-stage lives of the five-piece. The documentary includes footage from the group’s personal lives after their X-Factor appearances.
While the group’s personal lives are a focal point, the film also features concert footage from their performance at the London O2 Arena. During their time on the X Factor, the group often recorded video diaries to share their experiences in the competition. However, this feature-length documentary offered fans a deeper look behind the scenes.
Following its premiere, the film became one of the highest-grossing concert films, taking home $67.3 million worldwide. After the film’s successful debut, One Direction released another concert movie titled One Direction: Where We Are – The Concert Film.
The group had previously dropped an hour-long video album for their first tour, Up All Night. However, the movie primarily features on-stage footage rather than exploring the ensemble’s lives.
