JASPER COUNTY — Wheatfield’s Adult Book Discussion will be meeting Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. to discuss the book The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes. Refreshments will be provided.
DeMotte Bookies will be meeting Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. to discuss the book Chances Are by Richard Russo.
The Jasper County Men’s Book Group will be gathering at the Rensselaer Library on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. to cover Kingdom Quarterback by Mark Dent and Rustin Dodd. The group was created for men, but anyone may join.
Rensselaer’s 4th Thursday Group will be meeting Thursday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. and will be discussing reader recommendations.
Wheatfield’s Books and Coffee will meet at Cup of Joy in DeMotte on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. to cover the book The Obituary Writer by Ann Hood.

MAKER MONDAY AT THE WHEATFIELD LIBRARY
WHEATFIELD — Children in grades 1-8 are invited to the Wheatfield Library’s Maker Monday Program, held on Monday, Oct. 28 from 4-5 p.m.
Those in attendance will enjoy flexing their STEAM skills with some gadgets from the library. STEAM combines science, technology, engineering, art, and math to foster creative problem solving, collaboration, and critical thinking. A snack will also be provided.

CREATE PAPER MACHE PUMPKINS AT RENSSELAER LIBRARY OCT. 29
RENSSELAER — Come to the Rensselaer Library on Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and discover the art of paper mâché. Participants will create a small holiday decoration suitable for Halloween or Thanksgiving. All materials will be provided for this free craft.

QUEST TREKKERS BOOK
CLUB AT DEMOTTE LIBRARY
DeMOTTE — Join the DeMotte Library for Quest Trekkers on Monday, Oct. 28 from 6-7 p.m. This is a book club for grades 2-5.

SILENT AUCTION AT THE DEMOTTE PUBLIC LIBRARY
DeMOTTE — The Friends of the DeMotte Library will be hosting a silent auction at the DeMotte Library. Bids can be placed on Nov. 1 through Nov. 30 during library hours. Bidding will end on Nov. 30 at closing time. Winners will be called on Dec. 1.

HALLOWEEN STORY TIME

WHEATFIELD — Wheatfield Library invites little pumpkins ages 3-5 to dress their Halloween best and participate in a special Halloween-themed story time on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 11-11:30 a.m. or 2:30-3 pm.
Kids are encouraged to dress in costume.
