Ann McLaughlin, president of the Friends of Kendall Young Library, looks into one of the thousands of books that are on sale at the Fall Book Sale that opens to the public today at the library, 1201 Willson Avenue, Webster City.
Key among those thousands of books, she said, are the many, many children’s books on sale for 50 cents each.
Today the sale is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Saturday, October 26, the sale is open from 10 a.m. until noon.
McLaughlin said Saturday is especially education friendly for adults with young readers. The theme is “Fill a bag, leave a donation.” The goal, she said, is to get as many books as possible to children, either at home or at school.
