The two businesses are sharing an award that had four nominees this year. Also nominated were Blackscape Supply, and Chit-Chat Convenience.
In acknowledgement of the accomplishments of the nominees, the township’s economic development committee presented each in attendance with a certificate recognizing their excellence, officials added.
The event featured guest speaker Steve Duff, chief economist at the Ontario Ministry of
Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness.
This was the 29th anniversary of the Business of the Year award, which was created in 1994 to recognize the contribution of local businesses. It was also the first time the awards event, typically a luncheon, was held as a breakfast.
