Fernanda Diaz, manager at Network Real Estate Company, has proven that hard work and perseverance can lead to remarkable success. Although her entry into the real estate industry wasn’t entirely smooth, her journey is a testament to the power of persistence and passion, now leading to all her success.
Fernanda’s interest in real estate began when she started working alongside her husband, learning the ins and outs of the real estate market. She quickly realized that real estate was her calling, and in 2020, she earned her real estate license, marking the beginning of her career as a real estate agent.s
Reflecting on her journey, Fernanda recalls, “Ever since I started working in real estate, I realized that this is my life. I’ve been here ever since then.” This realization fueled her passion for the industry, but the early days were not without challenges. Like many new agents, she faced the struggle of gaining listings and establishing a client base. “At first, you don’t get listings as much as you do when you have experience. You have to retain a referral base from clients, and in the beginning, you don’t have that,” she says.
Building a strong foundation for her business required determination. Fernanda had to start from scratch, but she knew that over time, her hard work would pay off. Her approach was simple yet effective: “You establish who you are in the industry, and then you go from there. The first step is always the hardest as people do not want to work with you unless you have experience, but how do you gain experience if people do not work with you. People realize how well of a job you do, and they keep referring you to other clients.”
According to Fernanda, success in real estate requires more than just market knowledge; it also demands the right mindset. “You definitely have to have a hustler mentality to be a realtor because you have to maintain business from nothing,” she emphasizes. Networking and building relationships are key components of success in this field. “You have to be a social butterfly. Everywhere you go, you let everyone know what you do for a living. Your community needs to know how you can help them realize their dreams,” Fernanda adds.
One aspect of her work that brings Fernanda the greatest joy is working with first-time homebuyers. “I love helping first-time homebuyers. It’s really rewarding because you’re not only helping them buy their first home but also start their investment portfolio. Watching them gain momentum in their success, not just buying their first home but also acquiring investment properties and buildings, is incredibly fulfilling for me,” she explains.
Today, Fernanda and her husband run Network Real Estate Company, which has grown into a thriving business with a team of ten realtors. The company prides itself on creating a supportive, family-like environment for both clients and staff. “We have a team of realtors working for our company, and we all work together to help them succeed. Everyone is different, but I get along really well with my husband, and we make a great team. It’s very laid back in our office because everyone knows each other, and it feels like home,” Fernanda says.
The success of their company is rooted in mentorship and collaboration. Fernanda and her husband are deeply committed to helping their team grow and thrive. “We mentor our team. When they have issues, they come to us, and we help them with whatever they need. It’s very personal, and we all work together as professionals,” she shares. This nurturing environment has created a culture where team members feel supported and encouraged to achieve their best.
As a manager and mentor, Fernanda knows that becoming a successful realtor takes more than just technical skills; it requires self-belief and resilience. “If you’re trying to become a realtor and be in this business, the only way to succeed is if you believe in yourself. You can’t give up because even when you first start, or even when other realtors don’t respect you, you have to keep going. You have to strive for the best and never give up,” she advises.
Fernanda’s experience has taught her that every transaction is unique, and not all will go smoothly. However, the ultimate goal is to close the deal and ensure that the client feels valued. “What you need to focus on is getting the deal to close and making sure your client is happy. When they feel like they received the best service from you, they’ll give you a good review, and that helps build your reputation,” she says.
Throughout her career, Fernanda has built a reputation for being a dedicated professional who always puts her clients first. Her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence have earned her recognition in the industry and a loyal client base. “I’ve gained a lot of clients, and I’ve gotten several listings from referrals. That has really helped me stand out as a professional,” she reflects.
Looking back on her journey, Fernanda is proud of how far she has come and the impact she has made on her clients and her team. “The whole process has been a great experience,” she says. From overcoming initial challenges to building a successful real estate company, Fernanda Diaz’s story is one of determination, passion, and unwavering belief in herself and her team. As she continues to mentor and inspire others, her influence in the real estate industry is sure to grow.
