EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A colorful used book store in central El Paso will be hosting a book reading and signing for a new novel set in the borderland.
On Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m., Brave Books will have author Luis Jaramillo, who will be presenting his debut novel “The Witches of El Paso,” published by Simon & Schuster.
Described as a love letter to the borderland, the book chronicles the lives of several generations of women with special abilities, from the 1700s to modern-day El Paso, according to Brave Books owner Jud Burgess.

Burges said the novel is a must-read for El Pasoans as it touches on so many of the places and memories that make us proud to live here over the generations.
The novel is now available for sale.
Jaramillo will read from the novel and sign copies for attendees.
