MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Friday marked the final pop-up market of the summer season at the Black Business Hub.
Since the summer, the Hub has been helping Black-owned businesses network and connect with new customers.
“Most of the vendors, we all know each other,” said Lakisha Johnson who is the owner of Unique Hair Accessories. “We are like one big family so we all kind of work together and learn from each other.”
Director of the Black Business Hub, Magugu Davis, said she is happy to see the Hub make an impact on local businesses.
“It has been a joy when people at the end of the day say, ‘I sold everything,’” she said. “Especially black businesses that come time and time again, that makes us happy because we are giving them a space so they can be able to sell their products.”
The final summer season market on Friday featured the following businesses: Ancestral Tribe, Unique Hair Accessories, Obamacare Enrollment, PrWear Printing, Chef Bee, and Just Veggiez Catering.
The Hub begins their winter pop-up markets on Nov. 30th.
