You don’t have to be an old-timer to enjoy Maxine Hoover’s latest Ponchatoula pictorial history book. I brought home a copy this week, and My Favorite Teenager got a kick out of seeing how Ponchatoula’s main street, the downtown and the Manchac swamp looked back in the day.
Today we can frequent Waffle House at all hours, but in 1932 the cool place to hang out was The Coffee Pot.
