The Fort Dodge Public Library is always a good place to find something to read.
This week, people of all ages will be able to find something good to read and buy it for much less than the price of a new book.
And all the money from those book purchases will be used to support programming at the library, especially for children.
The fall version of the used book sale conducted by the Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library is this week.
Members of the Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library spent Monday setting up the sale in the library’s big meeting room.
The sale opens to the public today.
Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday.
On Friday, everything someone can fit in a grocery size bag will cost $3.
On Saturday, everything in a grocery-sized bag will be $1.
Laura Maggio, a spokeswoman for the Friends of the Library, said proceeds from the sale will support the Library’s Children’s Department, especially its summer programming.
She said the Friends group also supports the library by paying for periodicals and computer needs.
