Saeed Al Maadawi, General Supervisor of the House of Manuscripts, stated that the new collection of rare manuscripts includes 4 original manuscripts in addition to a photocopied manuscript of the book “Umdat Al Talib fi Ansab Al Abi Talib”, preserved in the Ali Amiri Library in Turkey, by the author Ahmed bin Ali bin Hussein, known as Ibn Anba. Moreover, a rare book in its first edition entitled “Safwat Al I’tibar bi-Mustawda’at Al-Amsar wa Al-Aqtar”, printed in the Media Press, in the Arab Republic of Egypt in 1302 AH, by the author Muhammad Bayram Al Khamis bin Mustafa Al Tunisi, which includes praises (writings in praise of the book) to Prince Abdelkader Al Jazaery, and Mr. Alawi bin Ahmed Al Saqqaf, Sheikh of the Sayyids in Mecca and Imam of the Holy Mosque of Mecca.
Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, Al Madaawi added that the manuscripts include “Al-Jami’ fi Dhikr al-Qira’at al-‘Ashr”, dated 871 AH, by the author Youssef bin Ali bin Jabara, Abu al-Qasim al-Hudhali al-Basri, and the author mentioned his well-known book “Al-Kamil fi al-Qira’at” in the introduction to this book. The book discusses the Quranic readings of ten, and the author is one of the prominent scholars and scientists specialised in the science of famous and anomalous readings, and it is rare to find similar copies to this manuscript, and the manuscript of “Al-Ta’rif wa al-A’lam fi ma Abma fi al-Qur’an min al-Asma’ wa al-A’lam” by its author Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah bin Ahmed al-Khathami al-Suhayli, and copies of this manuscript are few and rare.
Al Madaawi continued that the manuscripts include the fourth volume of “Al-Durr Al-Masun fi Ilm Al-Kitab Al-Maknun”, by Ahmed bin Youssef bin Abdul Daim Al Halabi. The author relied in his interpretation on the rules of the Arabic language and grammar, as he was a specialist in the sciences of language.
Finally, the book “Ghareb Al-Quran” by Muhammad bin Aziz Al-Sijistani, Abu Bakr Al-Azizi. This book is considered one of the oldest and most important works on Ghareb Al-Quran. Its author took 15 years to classify it, and he was residing in Baghdad. He arranged it alphabetically.
