Merry & Bright is back at Martini Town in Langley for another year of festivities. Martini Film Studios’ backlot, home to scenes from countless movies and TV shows, will be transformed into a holiday wonderland, complete with freshly decked facades and expanded sets. This unique holiday attraction invites families, friends, and pop-culture buffs to step inside an actual film set dressed up to channel the festive magic of a classic Christmas movie.
“We’re thrilled to welcome visitors to our Langley, BC backlot for this year’s Merry & Bright at Martini Town,” shares Gemma Martini, CEO of Martini Film Studios, in a release. “This event offers a unique opportunity to experience joyful sights and sounds in a town designed, built and decorated by BC’s talented film crews.”
Highlights this year include a timed snowfall every 30 minutes, produced by the same movie-grade snow machines used in films. A large, clear-roofed tent will cover the Town Square for a cozy space to enjoy expanded dining options at the Martini Cafe and onsite food trucks.
Daily live performances will add to the atmosphere, with music by carolers and a rotating cast of local musicians. Santa will visit every evening until December 22. For holiday shopping, Market Lane offers artisanal gifts and is open daily, featuring local vendors on a weekly rotation.
In keeping with Martini Film Studios’ green practices, Merry & Bright will be powered entirely by clean energy, and proceeds will support the Langley Food Bank.
