Pentagon official: Yemen produced ballistic missiles with technology can only be done in developed countries
Washington – Saba:
A senior military official at the Pentagon has admitted that the United States failed against the Yemeni armed forces in the Red Sea battle. He emphasized that Yemen has come to possess ballistic missile technology that only developed countries around the world possess.
The American “Axios” website quoted Bill LaPlante, the US Undersecretary of War for Acquisition , Sustainment and the chief weapons procurement officer, as saying: The Yemeni army has become frightening, he said.
He continued: “If a ballistic missile hits a warship, it’s a very bad day so we have to stay out of the Red Sea.”
He went on to say: “What happened in the Red Sea confirms that the Yemenis have become scary after possessing amazing missile capabilities. He emphasized that Yemen produces ballistic missiles with a technology that can only be done by developed countries, according to his description.
He noted that the Yemeni military is brandishing increasingly sophisticated weapons, including missiles “that can do amazing things.”
It is noteworthy that the US media recently highlighted Yemen’s military capabilities after the Yemeni armed forces announced that they had hit the US aircraft carrier Abraham and two US destroyers with ballistic , winged missiles and drones.
