Richmond property owners and businesses are being reminded there are alternative methods for making payments to the city during the Canada Post strike.
Residents who want to take advantage of the 10 per cent discount for the 2024 third-quarter metered utility bills need to pay before Dec. 5
Payments can be made online through myRichmond, in-person financial institutions and their websites or in person at city hall.
Richmond City Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m., cash is not accepted.
For business permits and licenses, owners are asked to use the MyBusiness and MyPermit online portals to apply for business licenses and permits.
Meanwhile, the City of Richmond staff will be contacting suppliers when payment is ready for them. Arrangements will be made for those who would like to pick up cheques at city hall.
Suppliers are reminded photo identification is needed for cheque pick up.
The city also offers direct deposit as an option for suppliers. Those interested can email [email protected] for a direct deposit enrolment form.
