Suriya’s Kanguva, which hit the screens on November 14, opened to a good response at the box office but had a drop on the second day. It then witnessed limited growth on Saturday (November 16). Kanguva is a fantasy action drama, directed by Siva.
Kanguva witnesses limited growth on first Saturday
Suriya’s Kanguva, shot on a budget of Rs 300 crore, is doing decent business at the domestic box office. However, its performance is not up to the mark given the high expectations. According to Sacnilk, a trade tracking website, the biggie collected nearly Rs 9.50 crore on its third day. This figure is slightly higher than the Rs 9.25 crore it netted on Friday (November 15).

Day 1: Rs 24 crore
Day 2: Rs 9.25 crore
Day 3: Rs 9.50 crore (estimates)
The film’s total collection stands at nearly Rs 43 crore. Kanguva received mixed reviews with critics praising the performances but criticising the screenplay. The average word-of-mouth is responsible for the film’s mediocre performance on its first Saturday.
Kanguva is, either way, expected to witness some growth today (November 17). Its fate will, however, depend on whether it stays stable on Monday (November 18).
