Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain is set to host the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF 2024). Scheduled for November 19-20, the prestigious event will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, bringing together representatives from 42 countries and approximately 400 participants.
WBAF serves as a vital platform for fostering discussions on financial inclusion, innovation, and the growth of startups. It provides a unique space for thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors to exchange ideas, forge partnerships, and explore financing opportunities at local, regional, and global levels.
Agenda Highlights
The two-day forum will feature a range of high-level discussions and specialized events:
Day 1: Official opening and three roundtable discussions on key regional topics.
Day 2: Four focused forums and 32 speakers addressing themes such as global women leadership in entrepreneurship, science and technology, smart financing for startups, and ethical governance.
Additionally, the event will include four specialized workshops on topics like investment strategies, sustainability in entrepreneurship, and securing smart funding for startups.
A major highlight is the funding stage, where 100 startups from around the globe will present innovative solutions to a panel of prominent global investors. This unique opportunity aims to attract capital and help startups scale their operations.
Global Participation
The event will see robust international participation, with delegations from countries including the United States, India, South Korea, and Côte d’Ivoire. These delegations underscore WBAF’s mission to promote financial inclusion and global innovation.
General Assembly and Summits
Ahead of the main forum, the WBAF General Assembly will convene on November 18 to deliberate on strategic initiatives and partnerships. The conference will also feature four global summits:
