Ektaa Kapoor’s film The Sabarmati Report, starring Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna, released on November 15, 2024. Two days after the film hit the big screen, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the movie, which is based on the 2002 Sabarmati Express train burning incident in Godhra. After the PM appreciated the film, Ektaa expressed her heartfelt gratitude to him.

PM Narendra Modi reacted to an X (formerly Twitter) user’s tweet about The Sabarmati Report. Taking to his official X account, the PM wrote, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out (sic).” Take a look:
After PM appreciated The Sabarmati Report, producer Ektaa Kapoor thanked him. “Respected Prime Minister, thank you very much for your positive words on The Sabarmati Report. They have encouraged us. Your appreciation for The Sabarmati Report proves that we are on the right track. Thank you for this love and support! (sic),” she wrote in Hindi.
About The Sabarmati Report
Directed by Dheeraj Sarna, The Sabarmati Report features Vikrant, Raashii, and Ridhi as journalists Samar, Amrita, and Manika. The film was initially being helmed by filmmaker Ranjan Chandel. After some differences over the film’s first cut, Ranjan parted ways with the producers of The Sabarmati Report on an ‘amicable’ note.

Once The Sabarmati Report’s theatrical run ends, the film will head for its digital premiere. It has been confirmed that the Vikrant Massey-starrer will stream on ZEE5. You will be able to watch it on OTTplay Premium as well.
