The programme will be launched in AY 2025/26.
Singapore Polytechnic (SP)’s School of Business (SB) will launch the Business Essentials Through Action (BETA) Programme in the academic year 2025/26.
The programme will provide students with hands-on experience in venture creation and industry mentorship.
Developed in partnership with the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and supported by Mentoring SG, the programme will be available to all Year 1 students in the SB.
SP will provide all Year 1 business students with seed funding of $1,000 for their ventures.
In addition, SP and NVPC have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) providing SP students with a range of opportunities including industry exposure, experiential learning, curriculum integration, and Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses.
“Our students must understand how even small business decisions can significantly impact communities and stakeholders. We aim to empower them to not only build profitable businesses but also drive positive social change within their communities,” Soh Wai Wah, Principal and CEO of Singapore Polytechnic said.
