In 1994, OJ led police officers on a slow-speed chase, then was arrested and accused of murdering Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman. In a criminal trial, he was acquitted.
Then, in 2007, he was charged with several felony counts, including armed robbery and kidnapping, for a robbery where he and a group of people tried to retrieve sports memorabilia he alleged belonged to him from a hotel and casino at gunpoint. He was found guilty and sentenced to 33 years in prison.
In 2017, he was granted parole.
